About Us

I am Ashraf and I'm a bboy. I started dancing since I was in Secondary 3. I was initially from my school's soccer team until my brother showed me a video of a battle from RedBull BC One. I was amazed by what we are capable of doing with just our body, which led to me trying out bboy. I instantly fell in love and in no time, I found myself dancing almost everyday after school! After secondary school, I went on to Singapore Polytechnic where I joined Strictly Dance Zone (SDZ). I then realised that there were so many other people like me who loves to dance, so we stayed back after our lessons till about 10+ or 11pm just to dance. SDZ continued to shape me into the dancer I am today, they made me realise that SDZ is more than just a club.

My name is Try and I'm a bboy. I've been interested in dance since Primary School but did not have a chance to start. After graduating from Secondary School, I went to Singapore Polytechnic. And since Singapore Polytechnic has a platform for me to start, I chose to join Strictly Dance Zone (SDZ) where I met Ashraf. I feel that Im free, unbinded by the possibilty. Dancing keeps me fit and I got to meet new people from other different genres. I learned to be more disciplined as learning a move in bboy takes hardwork and a lot of time.
